The Process

When you call to book your senior portrait session, I’ll likely have a bunch of questions for—where do you go to school? Where do you like to hang out? What do you do for fun? Do you do any extra-curricular activities?

Your answers to these questions will help me guide you in planning your senior portrait session.

After “What should I wear?” and “Do you have a make-up artist?” (yes, I do have a make-up artist) the most common question is “Where should we go?”

Most of my seniors like to do what I call the Walkabout session. We pick a location and then walk from place to place taking portraits as we go. We find lots of cool spots to take pictures that way! Some of the favorite locations are the local high schools, downtown Cartersville (Adairsville, Calhoun and Atlanta), Red Top Mountain, Dellinger Park, Lake Allatoona… even your own backyard. It’s really up to you. If you want to choose more than one location, that’s fine, too. There is a $25 location fee for each additional location you choose (a location is defined as a place you have to drive to within a 20 mile radius).

Feel free to bring a friend or a sibling—it’s always nice to having someone come along to make you giggle and to help schlep your gear. I’m all about fun—we’ll keep things relaxed and laid back.

About two weeks after your portrait session, we’ll meet again to view your proofs. I’ll start by showing you a slideshow set to music. It’s like you’re starring in your own rock video! After the slideshow (we can watch it as many times as you like), I’ll show you the proof sheet thumbnails and go over the paper samples, explain the packages, and answer any questions you may have. If you place your order within 3 days of your viewing appointment, you can take 10% off your print order (prints only—discount does not apply to albums or canvases).
